Ever since last Sunday night’s MTV Movie Awards, no one really gave a sh#*t about any of the nominees, the winners or even the performers. All the buzz was created after Eminem got a face full of scroat during what happened to be one of the funniest malfunctions of the year. Attempting to fly onto the stage, wearing nothing but angel wings, a white thong and a harness, Brüno, Sasha Baron Cohen’s gay alter ego, fell from the high-wire harness directly onto Eminem, straddling his face…and yes people, it was ass to face on this one.
After the incident and the award show all the talk was about this particular incident and whether or not it was staged. While many believed it was true, there were many signs that it was staged, like Eminem wearing a mic, and a camera coincidently placed in the aisle, capturing the rapper and his entourage quickly leaving the scene. Well, sources close to Baron Cohen and the award show have now revealed that this was all staged.
Head comedy writer for the show, Scott Auckerman, claimed on his blog that “the Bruno/Eminem incident was staged,” adding that “they rehearsed it at dress and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show.” Looks like Eminem was a hell of a sport on this one.
