Dave Seaman's Audio Therapy recently launched a new album series entitled 'Across Borders'. The album focuses on the very best production talent from a single country or region. An industry first, the album series provides artists and producers a consolidated format to showcase their work.
Seaman comments, “The amount of music I am given whilst out performing constantly amazes me. Being a DJ and running a label makes me an obvious target for producers to pass on their material. Sometimes, after a weekend of gigs, I have almost an albums worth of quality releases.”
The fist release showcases Greece, a country rich in talent with artists such as, Nikola Gala’s Perasma project, Dousk, Christian Cambas, and Phatjak.
“A lot of the guys involved have already had some big releases on the worlds key labels like Bedrock and Yoshitoshi,” Seaman says. “We just wanted to unite all of them together on one album to show just how much of a current hotbed Greece is for quality material and talented producers.”
The album begins with G Pal & Anna Maria X’s “Within” track. A female’s voice is heard over the mellow melody as it sets the tone for a moody intro. Dousk’s track “Bummer,” picks up the pace of the album, setting a more progressive tone.
V-Sag’s track “I Wasn’t Impressed Enough,” incorporates some guitar samples, which give the album a bit of Mediterranean flair. Kosmas Epsilon’s “Ill Ssa,” completes the CD with more of an electro infused track, further showcasing the range and various genres of each of the contributing artists.
“There are many other areas and countries that are really producing some outstanding music,” Seaman mentions. “We hope to turn our attention to these as the series progresses.”
Tour dates will be taking place to promote and launch the series in Greece, for more information please visit www.therapymusic.co.uk and www.djdaveseaman.com.
