The legendary robotic production duo, Daft Punk, are set to get back into the studio as they’ll be composing the soundtrack to the upcoming TRN2 film, the sequel to the very popular 1982 flick Tron. The duo recently signed on for the project, but fans will most likely have to wait, considering that the release date for the film is 2011. Other media outlets have already confirmed the news and have reported that Thomas and Guy-Man have already assembled a new recording studio in LA specifically for this project.
The last work released from Daft Punk was 2007’s Alive 2007, a live performance recording. However, an original album hasn’t been released since 2005’s Human After All. It’ll be interesting to see what the duo come up with, considering the growing global talent in the EDM scene.
