Paul van Dyk Releases iPhone DJ Application

As many of you already know, Paul van Dyk is a living legend when it comes to electronic dance music, always appearing at the pinnacle of Top DJ lists all over the planet. So there shouldn’t be a surprise if we told you he teamed up with Yuza Mobile to create a unique iPhone and iPod Touch application to celebrate the release of his multi-disc anthology, VOLUME. The application features a BPM counter, frequency analyzer, decibel meter, seismic reader, virtual glow stick, DJ check list and an itinerary manager.
As an ode to Paul’s global popularity, the application will be available in localized language versions. “I’ve had great fun being a part of the development team for my app over the past few months and think that both aspiring and professional DJs will have great fun using it,” Paul van Dyk says. “On a practical level, it includes everything that a DJ needs.” The PvD application will be available on iTunes Worldwide late this May for $1.99.
