Victor Dinaire presents Resident Nation
May 5, 2004 9:22 PM
by

Victor Dinaire, NYC trance jock and Executive Director of Future Progression, has teamed up with Music Choice TV to present a brand new show, Resident Nation.

Resident Nation began this month, and is broadcast in over 34 million homes across the country. It will showcase live DJ sets and mixes made exclusively for Resident Nation.

Victor will be the show's resident, performing weekly. Various international guest DJ's will rotate for the remainder of the show.

Listeners can tune in just before midnight every Friday night. Resident Nation goes on air at 12am until 4am. It's rebroadcast on Sunday morning from 3am until 7am Eastern Standard Time.

Listeners must go to the Dance Channel of Music Choice. Contact your cable TV provider to find out which channels correspond with Music Choice in your area. New York City Residents with Time Warner Cable can go to channel 616.

Music Choice is a set of 24-hour commercial free radio channels available through certain cable providers, like Time Warner Cable, DirecTV, and over 650 other providers across the United States.

The digital, CD quality sound is best experienced through a stereo or television. With new shows like Dinaire's Resident Nation, listeners can bring the club experience into to their home.

"I have many goals with this project, some short term, some long. I'm sick of so called experts telling us that electronic dance music is dead. We never had an opportunity to properly introduce this sound on a nationwide level until recently.

"With Music Choice & Resident Nation, we have the chance to showcase cutting edge talent without mixing in commercial nonsense or worrying about advertising quotas.

"On another level, I want my show to be the prime music for hundreds of thousands of people nationwide who throw their own parties at home. Now they have world class DJ's playing in their home every weekend.

"As the show progresses and we do our club tours, people will know they can now relive that moment on the dance floor as I will rebroadcast all my sets on Resident Nation.

"Ultimately, I want to see this music gain larger acceptance in America and to show this country that this scene isn't a bad phase in life, it's a movement just like rock n roll and hip hop were when they started out many years ago."

To complement and enhance the experience, FutureProgression.com is launching an interactive message forum where listeners can rate sets, share feedback and upload pictures.

On April 30th and May 1st, Victor Dinaire will have guests Armin Van Buuren, George Acosta, and Johnny Vicious. May 7th and 8th, Dinaire will be joined by Christopher Lawrence and Max Graham. Also, May 14th and 15th, live sets from Ferry Corsten and Glen Bennison will be broadcast, along with a new set from Victor Dinaire.

There are many cds available out there with the similar music that Victor and his guests play. Amazon and other websites are full of trance and various progressive styles of music
This is really good stuff. I wanted to know if there is a cd i can buy so i can play it whenever i want.
OMG!!!! I was looking for this since I first heard it in 2004. It was the best thing I had heard in a LONG time. Is there anywhere I can buy or download it? Plz tell me that it is.
WOW and WOW and WOW! I'm lovin' it! My gosh this is superb! I really like the rhythm! Sure is great to hear something so fantastic and rhythmic! Thanks much and please, continue making more hits!
Wow, this is so tight. I can't believe my ears are actually rapping around what there hearing. To hear you guys, uncut, straight mixes is like pure bliss. If only I could get it on C.D. so I can also play all of this in my car and everywhere I go. Even so, I would like to give my THANKS to Victor, and all the wonderful artist that contribute!!!
please please please tell me i can buy these sets on CD somewhere!!! (i'm actually willing to pay money for this instead of skulking around on limewire)
Victor, I love you. Excellent show! There are no stations that play dance music where I live, so Music Choice is the next best thing.
